Agar is a naturally gelatinous powder derived from marine red algae. It's the perfect vegan substitute for animal-sourced gelatin in any food application and makes an excellent thickener for soups, jellies, ice cream, and even to create vegan cheeses. This item is packaged by Country Life Natural Foods. Stir agar powder into room temperature liquid and then bring it to a rolling boil, making sure the agar has dissolved.
