Buddhist prayer beads, or malas, are traditionally used to count the number of times a mantra is recited. Our version uses sandalwood beads, a scent believed to help maintain alertness during meditation. We use the traditional number of 108, mixing in a handful of turquoise beads and a silver plated dorje charm to represent the path of enlightenment. The beads measure approximately 6mm in diameter on the elastic cording. Approximately 25" in length. This item can be worn doubled up as a necklace or bracelet.
